About me
I began my massage career in 1998 as a licensed massage therapist in the state of Hawaii. I graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1986, and from the Aloha Academy of Massage in 1997. I studied lomi-lomi, under the tutelage of Lena Mossman, through a blessing she received from Auntie Margaret Machado, of Kailua-Kona. From 2001-2005, I sponsored and taught technique to many enthusiastic massage apprentices.
I grew up with four very active and rowdy brothers and learned quickly that massage techniques would calm them and make them feel better. My childhood hobbie became a passion in the late 90's, when I started Massage-by-Steph as a humble mobile business, coordinating contracts with some of Oahu's premier massage establishments, as well as making personal home and hotel visits.
My vision is to bring awareness to more and more people about the benefits of massage. Excellent health is one of our most valuable possessions, and having regular massage sessions improves circulation, releases toxins, shortens recovery time from muscle strains, elevates mood, and much more. Steph has formed a team of highly trained therapists, with a combined experience of over 50 years in the industry.
